This Award recognises the organisation that has demonstrated a significant contribution to an aspect of the understanding, exploration or development of Ireland’s offshore natural resources. This can include the acquisition of new knowledge and data that has improved our understanding of the marine, seabed or subsurface, or contributing to the exploration, evaluation, appraisal or development of Ireland’s natural offshore resources.

Marine Tourism & Leisure Operator of the Year

This award recognises the organisation that is actively engaged in the provision of a tourism experience on the water - whether boating or an activity provider - as well as marinas and hotels that can best demonstrate excellence over the past 12 months.

Marine Industry Supplier of the Year

This award recognises the supplier or service provider based on the Island of Ireland that has provided a ‘best in class’ service, solution, product or goods to Ireland’s Marine or Maritime industry over the past 12 months. This award is also open to Shipyards or Boatyards on the island of Ireland, including any licensed Private, Public or State entity.

Seafood Business Innovation Award

This award recognises a project, action or initiative carried out by an organisation in Ireland’s Seafood sector that can best demonstrate true innovation. The innovation can be in any area – for example a new product or packaging, innovative use of technology or a strategic partnership which has brought your organisation to the next level.

Seafood Sustainability Award

This award recognises the organisation in Ireland’s Seafood industry that can best demonstrate a commitment to promoting sustainability. The judges will want to know everything you do in order to achieve your green objectives - and we mean everything - from issues such as waste management, nature conservation, energy and water reduction, to staff engagement and community involvement.

Excellence in Marine Renewable Energy Award

The award recognises any organisation in the Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) supply chain that can demonstrate a real impact through innovation and development within this emerging marine sector over the past 12 months.

Excellence in Marine Safety Award

Safety of life is at the forefront of priorities for all organisations operating in the maritime and marine domain. It is imperative that continuous improvements are advanced in line with modern designs for vessels, installations, and marine and maritime infrastructure. This award recognises the organisation that has made a significant contribution to improving marine or maritime safety via a specific activity or over a period of time.

This award, open to any entity with all or part of their operations located on the Island of Ireland, recognises an organisation that demonstrates it has successfully delivered an innovative marine focussed technology based product or service into the market.

The Digital Ocean Achievement Award

NEW CATEGORY: This Award is open to any technology company or organisation that has focused on developing a new form of digital technology within Ireland's blue economy over the last 12 months. The entry should show that Ireland was used as a test-bed for the innovation and that the project made full use of the Irish maritime industry's resources, expertise and infrastructure.

Excellence in Marine Education & Training Award

This award recognises the Irish based third level institution, technical training college or organisation that can best demonstrate excellence in the delivery and development of knowledge or skills in the marine and maritime industries.

Excellence in Marine Research Award

This award recognises the organisation, laboratory or research institute engaging in marine research that can best demonstrate excellence over the past 12 months. This includes laboratories working in the public service.

Excellence in the Provision of Professional Services to the Marine Industry

This award recognises the professional service provider that has provided an outstanding and comprehensive service to the marine industry in Ireland over the past 12 months. Organisations that should enter include, but is not limited to, Accountants, Auditors, Law Firms and Consultants.
